David Leitch is going places and how after coming off the success of Hobbs and Shaw leitch has a ton of pictures he’s working on however nothing quite like this.
David Leitch is all set to direct Bullet train for Sony Pictures. The film is based on the Japanese NOVEL titled “Maria Beetle” by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka
The Story follows Five assassins who find themselves on a fast moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between.
They discover their missions are not unrelated to each other. The question becomes who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station
The script which will be written by Zak Olkewicz and will have Leitch Supervising the film script . So one can expect a ton of action .
Leitch and Kelly McCormick will produce “Bullet Train” through their company 87North and Antoine Fuqua who’s given Sony 2 of it’s biggest non Super Hero hits “Equalizer 1,2” Will co produce with them.
Sony has an amazing Slate of Action film it’s said that they are also developing “One Punch Man,” also based on a popular Japanese manga, that they hope has franchise potential.
Along with that Sony has signed a first look deal with Michael Bay’s Bay films and the first to be developed is Black Five which bay is supervising himself.
Leitch has become one of the most sought after directors for tentpole action pics. He directed “Deadpool 2,” which went on to gross more then $700 million worldwide. He followed that up with “Fast and Furious” spin-off “Hobbs & Shaw which did 800 million plus world wide.
