Ashley Edward Miller Set to write the latest draft of the Red sonja reboot

With the latest success of women directors and writers in the Action film genre like Patty Jenkins in WOnder women and Jane goldman in Kingsman the golden circle Millinnium and Avi lerner have tapped Ashley Edward Miller to pen the screenplay for Red Sonja, the feature film based on the comic book heroine from the 1970s.

Ashley Edward Miller who has previously Written X Men first class and Thor seems to be the apt choice to pen the reboot.

Red Sonja, which  continues to publish in comic book form today, was optioned  by Avi Lerner after the success of Warner Bros’ female empowerment film Wonder Woman, which captured a new generation at the box office with a big $821.8 million worldwide gross

Miller has been actively involved with producing and writing the sarah corner Chronicles which one her rave reviews.

Miller said It was an exciting opportunity to faithfully adapt the amazing Hyborean world Robert E. Howard created, and inject it with Sonja’s intelligence, ferocity, and fearless humanity  he said. he wanted people to love Sonja the way he loves her.

The film is being financed by Millennium and produced by the company along with Mark Canton , Canton another veteran like Avi Lerner in the Action genre .

The news has attracted a lot of attention and seeing Millennium’s  line up of the Hell boy reboot , Angel has fallen, Expendables 4 and now Red Sonja it’s going to be one epic year for them.
