Idris Elba was once touted to play  Bond , however the Actor known for his power house performance has been making bold moves in the Action genre.

Elba who was last seen in Hobbs and Shaw as Baddie Brixton made a bold statement to LALA Land that he was a serious player in the genre. People loved Elba in the film and fan rumors states he will be back turning a shade lighter like his nemesis Shaw did in the Fast franchise.

He’s certainly been noticed because he has signed on to play the lead in Warner Bros’s Stay Frosty . Warner Bros won a wild spec auction and will pay way past of $1 million against low-seven figures for the Tyler Marceca scrip.

The synopsis is as follows After miraculously surviving a bullet to the head, a man( Elba) has to figure out who wants him dead and why. He needs to stop the assassin while still making it back home in time to spend Christmas with his son.

The film is directed by Extraction director Sam Hargrave who is soon becoming the flavor of La LA Land for Action films. The stunt coordinator s have taken over as go to directors for the Action Genre and leading the way are David Lietch and Chad Stehelski.

The film is set for an Christmas release and is looking to fill the space of Action festive films like Die Hard and Lethal weapon. Makes sense since no movie has come on Christmas for a while.
