Review of X Men Apocalypse

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction

First things first, summer tent poles have become the flavor of Hollywood. Each week some massive super hero movie is hitting the box office . And one can debate that they are over staying their welcome , however X men Apocalypse is a breath of fresh air in the repetitive Super Hero world.  Written by the extremely talented Simon Kinberg the writing of XMA is the real winner. Each character is brilliantly written and their threads are beautifully interwoven with one another. Kinberg Keeps the screenplay pacey and intriguing keeping the audiences glued to the screen. He unwraps each character like a Christmas gift from a parent to a child bringing constant smiles to people’s faces. The year seems to be going great for Kinberg as he tasted early success with Deadpool and now is on hus way for the same with X men. 2 fists up for Kinberg.

Coming to the directing, Bryan Singer has just proved that he is the numero uno   in popcorn fantasy flicks. His understanding of the Genre is undoubtedly un matched . He is way ahead of Zack Snyder and the Russo brother’s in his style of story telling. 2 fists up for him as well.

As for the performances no prize for guessing that  Micheal Fassbender, James Mcavoy  and Jennifer Lawrence are top notch, but its the younger X men who make a stand for themselves Even Peters (quicksilver ) Sophie Turner ( jean Grey) Tye Sheridan (cyclops) have done a fantastic Job in making their presence felt  . A special shout out to Oscar Isaac ( apocalypse) he’s phenomenal in his part.

The film is shot beautifully by Newton Thomas. The fight choreography by Walter Garcia is fantastic.

On the whole X men Apocalypse is the best super Hero movie of the summer so far. Go catch it for sure.
