Marvel’s Phase 3 has begun and with a Bang. Doctor Strange has made it’s first appearance on Screen and boy has he had a roaring welcome . Starring Benedict Cumberbatch The film opened to a not so strange but highly familiar opening for a marvel film “ Blockbuster” The film Crossed the 70 million $ mark as predicted by amdb and did a business of 75 million $ on 3882 properties in north America.

The film topped the foreign box office last weekend with $87.7 million and is expanding this weekend to 94% of the international market as it adds Russia, China and Brazil. It’s topped $133 million as of day from international markets with South Korea leading the way at $22 million

As from China the 14th MCU movie began its run with a $12.6 million opening day, including $780,000 on Thursday-at-midnight preview.

It performed decently well in India too collections in the 3 crore nett range(449.101). The released on just  800 screens . So in terms of that its very good As the Average per Screen was in the range of 37% occupancy .

That’s better than most Indian Movie’s.

This is the birth of a new franchise and CumberBatch is on his way to becoming the next Downey.  This once again Show’s the power of Action.
