Remaking Novels to feature films has always the best way to make a feature film back in the Golden Days of the film Industry. 100 years Later, that stills seems to be the way.
The latest to add to the list is American Assassin A film based on a Novel with the same name. Directed by Micheal Cuesta who has worked mainly on Television ( shows like homeland) the film is about A CIA black ops recruit called Rapp, who is devastated by the loss of his girlfriend to a terrorist attack.
A CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Lathan) assigns Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Keaton) to train a grief-stricken but highly motivated Rapp how to thwart terrorist operations and hunt the perpetrators.
Together they investigate a wave of apparently random attacks on military and civilian targets and discover a pattern in the violence that leads them to a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent (Negar) to stop a mysterious operative (Kitsch) intent on starting a world war in the Middle East.
The film Stars Micheal Keaton and Dylan O Brain and is produced by the Maverick Action Film Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura .
The film looks interesting though it does not carry the same pace of a Di Bonaventura Film it still makes for an interesting watch.
Set to hit Theaters in September let’s see if this film can spin off a new franchise
We at amdb.in wish the entire team all the very best.
