In Vengeance A Love Story, Nicolas Cage plays John Dromoor – a Niagara Falls hero cop and Purple-Heart-awarded Desert Storm veteran, who takes a personal interest in a case when a young single mother (Anna Hutchison) is brutally attacked by four men in front of her twelve year old daughter (Talitha Bateman).
With an incompetent judge and a hotshot lawyer (Don Johnson), the film builds tension and outrage towards the perpetrators. Will they or won’t they face justice? What justice will be enough for these scumbags? The first two acts are purposely slow, to build towards an explosive climax. Directed by Johnny Martin, the film steams with suspense, action and emotion.
