The Sequel to Kingsman the Secret Service, Kingsman the Golden Circle has finally hit theaters . As One knows North America is having a dull Summer as the Audiences have hit “Franchise Fatigue” Will Kingsman The Golden circle add to the fatigue or will it refresh the box office let’s find out.
After a Brutal attack on The Kingsman Spy agency by world Drug cartel leader and founder of the golden circle Poppy Adams , the remaining Kingsman Eggsy AKA Galahad ( Taron Egerton ) and Merlin ( Mark Strong) must follow dooms day protocol. The protocol leads them to Kentucky where they meet their cousin spy agency knows as the Statesmen . A brief interrogation and a miss communication between one of the Statesmen agents Tequila ( Channing Tatum )leads them to finding the original Galahad Harry hart ( Colin Firth ) the only thing is Harry has lost his memory from being shot in the head from before. He now seems to have gone in the exact opposite direction and spends all his time in studying butterfly. The kingsman need harry now more than ever to help . Eggsy is going through his own personal crisis as he’s got relationship issues with his girlfriend. Poppy on the other hand has got other evil plans that has been her end game all along. Can Eggsy help harry gain his memory and Stop Poppy before she unleashes her wrath. Makes for the rest of the tale.
To start with Kingsman the Golden Circle is by far the best sequel i have seen since Terminator 2. I have not seen a more entertaining film in the last 5 years. I was sitting in the chair whistling and clapping. I wanted to exit the theater and buy another ticket to go in.
The screenplay by Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaugn is lite funny breezy emotional yet engaging to the tee. They have very cleverly sent out one of the best and most important social messages in the world in the most entertaining fashion. There is not a moment of Boredom in the entire 2 hours and 21 minutes. In face the film could have gone on for another 10 more and no one would have minded. Jane Goldman should get a standing ovation for taking Cine-goers on this fantastic and highly entertaining and partly emotional and socially relevant ride.
Coming to the Actors Taron Egerton is a force to look out for. He reminds you of a young Tom Cruise, he’s shown his growth as an actor and as an Kingsman . His performance shows you that he’s a Star going places in the time to come. Colin Firth is phenomenal as always , the way he plays both his personalities is amazing. Mark Strong truly is brilliant and you miss him( easter Egg). Channing Tatum as Tequila has the perfect swag of a Kentucky cowboy his action scene with Eggsy is brief and very entertaining. Jeff Bridges has a brief part but whenever he comes on screen he takes over. Hally Berry is lovely . Julianne moore as poppy Adams plays her part to perfection she really bring the cucu in the crazy. A special Mention to Pedro Pascal he’s a force to recon with and him , taron and colin in the climax is something you would hold you piss for even though your bladder was bursting ( Easter egg) . Hanna Alstrom is Eggsy’s girlfriend makes a lovely watch. Edward Holcroft as charlie the former Kingsman trainee is menacing. A special Special Special mention to Sir Elton John, he’s simply OUTSTANDING.
On the Action. Honestly this is the best action film till date in films in the stylized space of Action ( Sherlock, King Arthur Gi Joe ) Each Sequence is phenomenal and it just keeps getting bigger and better. A massive victory to the entire team.
Coming to the Director the captain of the Ship Matthew Vaugn , he choose to become a director cause he was tired of taking nonsense from Directors ( Guy Ritchie ) It’s safe to say he has out performed all the directors he has worked with as a producer. Matthew has a grip on the film from the word go. He’s made a fantastic film and in all honestly he should be the person to take the Reigns to reboot the Transformer Franchise ( Are you listening Jim Gianopolis ) . He’s made one of the most entertaining and engaging films i have seen in a long long time.
On the whole Kingsman is a massive winner at the Box office. For the first time in our 2 year history we are creating a new Category called the Kingsman Category. Any film that reaches brilliant Status will be rated as K for Kingsmans.
Take a bow all of you cause you just made James bond and his toys look dull and boring.
