AnnaPurna Studio’s that owned by Larry Ellison’s daughter Megan Ellison has bagged the deal for the domestic distribution for the next James Bond at a record price as per industry sources.
MGM Studios the parent company that owns the world wide distribution rights to the British Spy film had announced a Joint Venture with Annapurna and the first on the deal is James Bond. Producer Barbara Broccoli the daughter of legendary producer has decided to go with Ellison’s company who in the past has worked on movies like zero dark 30 has decide to move down the commercial route with James Bond.
Though Annapurna handles the domestic distribution it is still unclear who will handle international sales. As per our reports Warner Bros, Sony and Universal are battling hard for the rights as the last bond generated over 70% of it’s box office share off shores.
This iconic deal goes to prove the power of the Genre.
