Hurricane Heist which released earlier this year and was directed by XXX and Fast and the Furious Director ROb Cohen didn;t exactly set the box office on fire, however the film did decently well in home Entertainment and that got the producers the attention of other indie Studios.
Producers Moshe Diamant and Christopher Milburn of Hurricane Heist are pairing up with Superkombat Fighting Championship CEO Eduard Irimia to launch action film and TV label SuperFilm.
Moshe Diamant has had a long history in producing Action movies like Time Cop, Hard Target, The Quest and Double Impact all of which starred Jean Claude Van damme.
SuperFilm will have offices in LA, London and Bucharest and among its initial slate, the team will develop properties inspired by Superkombat, the European kickboxing and martial arts promotion. The move is interesting as movies based on Combat sports have their own fan following and have seem to have always worked in their own little space.
Moshe was heard saying his love for action films genre spans over four decades. Having made more than 85 titles that he brought on to the silver screen action heroes that are now icons in popular culture it’s time he develop other heroes.
The news is exciting and we are keen to seem how this develops further .
We at amdb.in wish the entire team all the very best.
