Warner Bros has landed it’s boots in Korea. The first co production Warner had a choice to make any genre as horror and thrillers are highly consumed in Korea too. However they chose to go with the safest bet and something that will give them their highest IRR ACTION.
Warner has collaborated on a South Korean sci-fi Action film directed by Kim Jee-woon and starring Gang Dong-won, Han Hyo-joo and Jung Woo-sung titled Jin Roh the wolf brigade globally and INrang for the domestic market.
Set in the distant future where both North and South Koreas agree to establish a joint government, which has been in preparation for a duration of 7 years, the plot focuses on political uprisings on opposing sides which grow fierce when a special police unit is formed to stop the chaos.
The trailer is visually extremely engaging and has some excellent compositions . Currently in 800 engagements the trailer has received an average B and should open with a 16 million USD first frame.
The film is made on a modest budget of 8 million USD and with an ATP of 2300 Won about 22 USD the film will be a winner at the box office.
Set to hit theaters on July 25th .
