There has been a lot of Speculation on the Batman stand alone franchise. The once toast of the DC universe got a lot of flak after Zack Snyder took over the DC universe. The latest under performance of Justice league only added to the Woos of the franchise. Will there be a Batman Stand alone. Matt Reeves sheds light.
Reeves in a recent interview said that the Studio was working on the latest draft that should drop in anytime soon and that work is progressing on the film.
Reeves said that he was totally into the script. His last outing war on the planet of the apes did extremely well and Reeves said he was working on the script every single day.
Reeves’ Batman will be completely different from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight universe yet Batman is investigating a particular case that takes the viewers out into the world of Gotham”. Reeves said he did “a bing reading” his favorite Batman comics to inform his creative process, but didn’t want to mention any particular title.
However he did mention that there was no truth to the rumors that his Batman would focus on a young caped crusader or Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One.
He mentioned that Ben Affleck was still involved in the project , however he did not mention wither he will return as Batman.
