Bryan Singer is in final Stages of negotiations with Legendary Action film Producer Avi Lerner to Direct the Red Sonja Reboot for Lerners Millennium films.
Millennium Media announced in November during the American Film Market that it was rebooting “Red Sonja” and was planning to finance and produce a new movie based on the female warrior .
The films is produced by Avi Lerner and Joe Gatta alongside Cinelou’s Mark Canton ( 300 rise of an Empire). The Executive producers will be Millennium Films’ Boaz Davidson, and Trevor Short.
Power-hungry Queen Gedren (Sandahl Bergman) captures the priestesses guarding the Talisman, a mystical orb that created and can destroy the world. But one of the priestesses escapes and seeks out her warrior sister, Red Sonja (Brigitte Nielsen).
She warn her about Gedren’s plan for world domination. Lord Kalidor (Arnold Schwarzenegger), the Talisman’s keeper, insists on helping Sonja, and though she scorns the assistance of any man, she soon gains respect for Kalidor’s fighting prowess.
The 1985 film “Red Sonja” starred Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger and was a big big hit (Nielsen is the X wife of Stallone).
The character was introduced in 1934 in Robert E. Howard’s story “The Legend of the Vulture.
Avi Lerner’s Millennium film has one of the best slates for 2019, 2020 They Have expendables 4, Rambo 5, Angel Has Fallen, Hunter Killers, Hitman’s Body guard Sequel , The Hellboy reboot and a possible Mechanic 3.
