Now once upon a time Westerns were the heart and sole of the American film industry and they gave America some of it’s biggest Stars like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood , however over the years the genre has died out only once in a while being revived like Antoine Fuqua’s Magnificent Seven and now Vincent O Onofrio’s The KId.
The film centers around a young boy named Rio who forms an unlikely alliance with local sheriff Pat Garrett and infamous outlaw Billy the Kid .
Rio (Jake Schur) is forced to go on the run across the Southwestern United States to save his sister Sara (Leila George) from his villainous uncle Grant Cutler (Chris Pratt).
Along the way, he encounters Sheriff Pat Garrett (Ethan Hawke) on the hunt for the infamous outlaw Billy the Kid (Dane DeHaan).
Ultimately Rio must choose which type of man he is going to become, the outlaw or the man of valor, and will use the self-realization in a final act to save his sister.
The film stars Eathan Hawk and Dane Dehaan along with Chris Pratt .
The film has received 800 trend tracks with an Average B score and is all set for a 12 million domestic first frame.
The film is scheduled to open on the 8th of March but seeing the Buzz on Captain Marvel the date might be pushed ahead by a week.
