He’s back with a Bang where he’s planning a Sequel on Avatar and Terminator, When asked what his plans were for his franchises this is what he had to say.<\/p>\n
The thing is, my focus isn\u2019t on Avatar 2<\/i>. My focus is on Avatar 2, 3, 4<\/i>, and 5<\/i> equally. That\u2019s exactly how I\u2019m approaching it. They\u2019ve all been developed equally. I\u2019ve just finished the script to Avatar 5<\/i>. I\u2019m now starting the process of active prep. I\u2019ll be working with the actors in the capture volume in August, so I\u2019m booked in production every day between now and then. Our volume is up and running, and everything is designed, and so we\u2019re going full-guns right now. I feel like I\u2019ve been let out of jail, because I\u2019ve been in the writing cave for the last two years. I\u2019m actually enjoying life. I don\u2019t enjoy writing. I wouldn\u2019t wish writing on a dog.<\/p>\n
And when asked about his involvement with the next to be produced Terminator By David Ellison Here’s what he said.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s hard to keep a franchise vigorous, and relevant. I haven\u2019t had my hand on the tiller since Terminator 2<\/i>, and that was 1991. So what\u2019s that? Twenty-six years? But look, I think it\u2019s possible to tell a great Terminator<\/i> story now, and it\u2019s relevant. We live in a digital age, and Terminator<\/i> ultimately, if you can slow it down, is about our relationship with our own technology, and how our technology can reflect back to us\u2014and in the movie, literally, in a human form that is a nemesis and a threat. But also in those movies, in the two that I did, it\u2019s about how we dehumanize ourselves. In a time when people are being absorbed by their virtual-social world, I mean, just look around. I always say: if Terminator<\/i> was about the war between the humans and the machines, look around any restaurant or airport lounge and tell me the machines haven\u2019t won when every human you see is enslaved to their device. So could you make a relevant Terminator<\/i> film now? Absolutely.<\/p>\n
