Add to Cruise’s legacy is another film of his which made him a Super Star. There were a lot of Speculation on wither the Sequel of Top Gun was a go, well now it’s officially announced.<\/p>\n

Tom Cruise<\/a>\u00a0has started\u00a0 shooting on\u00a0Paramount<\/a>\u2019s long-anticipated \u201cTop Gun<\/a>\u201d sequel. Cruise tweeted an image late Wednesday featuring his character, Pete \u201cMaverick\u201d Mitchell, looking at a fighter jet.<\/p>\n

The teaser image for \u201cTop Gun<\/a>: Maverick,\u201d which Cruise also posted on his Instagram page, featured the legend one liner Feel the need, a reference to the original film\u2019s legendary quote, \u201cI feel the need \u2013 the need for speed.<\/p>\n

Joseph Kosinski, who is directing the sequel gave a little bit on the plot\u00a0Cruise\u2019s character would now be a flight instructor and that the film would explore a world of drone technology, fifth-generation fighters and the end of the era of dog-fighting.<\/p>\n

Eric Warren Singer, who wrote\u00a0 \u201cOnly the Brave,\u201d has written the screenplay alongside Peter Craig.<\/p>\n

The film is produced by the legendary Action film producer Jerry\u00a0Bruckheimer along with the king of remakes and reboots\u00a0 David Ellison of Sky Dance.<\/p>\n

Top Gun\u201d grossed $179.8 million domestic and nearly $357 million worldwide on its release in the summer of 1986. It was directed by Tony Scott.<\/p>\n

Top Gun: Maverick\u201d\u00a0is scheduled for release on July 12, 2019.<\/p>\n
