He was killed near the end of Season 2, fatally stabbed by Rick (Andrew Lincoln). He gained critical acclaim and prominence for his portrayal of Shane Walsh. But he appeared in Season 3, haunting Rick\u2019s imagination.\u00a0Bernthal will reprise his role of Shane Walsh during the ninth season, of <strong>The Walking Dead,<\/strong> expected to appear in one episode. This time he may either turn up in another hallucination or in a series of pre-death flashbacks. Bernthal will also make an appearance at the Comic-Con during <strong>The Walking Dead<\/strong> panel in July.<\/p>\n<p>Bernthal has also worked in supporting roles in various films such as\u00a0<strong>The Wolf of Wall Street<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Fury<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>The Accountant<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Baby<\/strong> <strong>Driver<\/strong>, <strong>Sicario<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Wind River<\/strong>. In 2015, he was cast as\u00a0Frank Castle\/Punisher\u00a0as part of the\u00a0Netflix\u00a0MCU\u00a0web series. He debuted on the\u00a0second season\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>Daredevil<\/strong>\u00a0before starring in his own titular series\u00a0<strong>The Punisher\u00a0<\/strong>in 2017.
