The guy was famous for Back Yard Brawls and soon that got him a shot in the UFC. However it was soon evident that Kimbo was not cut out for MMA however he was and still remains the king of Back Yard Brawls so famous was he that he is going to get his biopic on screen and the film has attracted some big talent.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"auto-tag_winston-duke\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/winston-duke\/\" data-tag=\"winston-duke\">Winston Duke<\/a>, who recently broke out as T\u2019Challa\u2019s ally M\u2019Baku in Marvel\u2019s multi-billion dollar grossing\u00a0<em>Black Panther\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0\u00a0is taking on the role of MMA legend Kevin \u201c<a id=\"auto-tag_kimbo\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/kimbo\/\" data-tag=\"kimbo\">Kimbo<\/a>\u00a0Slice\u201d Ferguson in\u00a0<em>Backyard Legend.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The film is about a\u00a0Bahamian-born backyard brawler\u00a0who rose from homelessness to mixed martial arts fame after his brutal backyard fights drew a huge YouTube audience.<\/p>\n<p>The film is written by\u00a0<em>White Boy Rick writer<\/em>\u00a0<a id=\"auto-tag_andy-weiss\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/andy-weiss\/\" data-tag=\"andy-weiss\">Andy Weiss<\/a>\u00a0. Dukes was heard saying that he was\u00a0looking forward to exploring Kimbo\u2019s story and interrogating the expectations society places on men like him.<\/p>\n<p>Kimbo Slice died suddenly in June 2016 at\u00a042 from heart failure and a liver mass.\u00a0 The film is a tribute to all of his accomplishments and\u00a0 is being produced by Steve Lee Jones\u2019 Bee Holder Productions and Michael J.
