They are pursued by a person led by a former partner they double crossed.<\/p>\n<p>The original starred Wiliam Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, Edmond O\u2019Brien, Warren Oates, Jaime Sanchez and Ben Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>The original was written by\u00a0Peckinpah and Walon Green.\u00a0\u00a0Gibson is writing the script with\u00a0<a id=\"auto-tag_bryan-bagby\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/bryan-bagby\/\" data-tag=\"bryan-bagby\">Bryan Bagby<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Gibson has a real knack for directing , Hacksaw ridge won him an academy nominee, and Stallone has gone on record to say that he wanted Gibson to direct Expendables 3.<\/p>\n<p>The Wild bunch has gained cult status over the years and has served as a text book to many films.<\/p>\n<p>Gibson however continues to prep his next\u00a0<em>Destroyer<\/em>, the WWII Action drama he is directing and\u00a0 which star his\u00a0<em>Daddy\u2019s Home 2<\/em>\u00a0co-star Mark Wahlberg.<\/p>\n<p>Expendables 4 is currently being prepped which is based on the same theme .
