For years Chinese Action films have been selling as a Staple diet in all film festivals globally.\u00a0 There’s a monster appetite for Chinese Action films especially in the Wu XIa genre .<\/p>\n
These films are a money spinner and that is the reason why HBO has decided to make these films in house.<\/p>\n
China Movie Channel and HBO Asia announced their\u00a0 new co-produced of martial arts films . The films for now are “Master of the White Crane Fist: Wong Yan-Lam” and “Master of the Nine Dragon Fist: Wong Ching-Ho” \u2013 will debut early next year on both networks and on HBO OTT.<\/p>\n
The two films are the latest installments in China Movie Channel’s martial-arts movie series in partnership with HBO Asia.<\/p>\n
The two giants\u00a0 had previously cooperated on, “Master of the Drunken Fist: Beggar So” and “Master of the Shadow-less Kick: Wong Kei-Ying”.<\/p>\n
Both films had a robust presale that covered their low cost\u00a0 and won excellent TRP on both networks . The model has worked and that is why the other 2 films have been greenlite.<\/p>\n
Master of the White Crane Fist: Wong Yan-Lam which\u00a0 is directed by\u00a0Guo Jianyong\u00a0lls how kung fu master Wong disguises himself and cracks down on an opium-trafficking gang.<\/p>\n
The idea for setting these films is to showcase Wu xia and sell Action films for what the are not takingbig stars and big budgets .<\/p>\n
