Just recently we had revealed that Vine Alternative investments had acquired the library of Ratpac dune for 300 million dollars plus.<\/p>\n

However the deal fell through as Warner had the the last right of refusal and matched the offer of Vine alternative for 300 million plus.<\/p>\n

Ratpac dune was a partnership between Brett Ratner and James Packer\u00a0\u00a0RatPac Dune Library<\/a>\u00a0 consists of an IP worth\u00a0 15-25% of 76 big ticket film mostly financed for Warner bros .<\/p>\n

The library was expected to fetch about $250 million however seeing that the most of the franchises are pretty young and are in their prime the value jumped up by 60 million or so .<\/p>\n

Ratpac has made close to 800 million through box office receipts , however after the scandal of Brett Ratner in a me too movement\u00a0 warner broke the partnership.<\/p>\n

However the value is of such great value because of it’s action slate\u00a0Wonder Woman, Batman V Superman,\u00a0<\/em>Godzilla, American Sniper, Mad Max: Fury Road Edge of tomorrow, 300 rise of an empire The man from uncle and Kong Skull Island.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Warner Bros discontinued its slate funding relationship with RatPac Dune. While it recently made a deal with BRON Studios to co-finance six films\u00a0 of which 4 are action films.<\/p>\n

The library will generate $80M annually for the next five years and any reboot will have warner increase their stake into the film.<\/p>\n
