One of the most famous franchise films of the 80’s Ghost busters is all set to get reloaded as per sources Sony pictures is planning a major revamp to their tentPole Franchise it was revealed that an all-male Ghostbusters is on the way, possibly starring Channing Tatum. Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo are looking to direct and produce.<\/p>\n

This follows the announcement of Paul Feig\u2019s reboot (in theaters July 22, 2016) that will feature an all-female cast consisting of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.<\/p>\n

Apparently, the news of an all-male team is a bit misleading, which caused sources to followup on the story. That\u2019s when they discovered some incredible new details that had me jumping across the room.<\/p>\n

Lets begin.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, this new Ghostbusters movie isn\u2019t all-male. It isn\u2019t \u2018guy-centric.\u2019 sources claim to have spoken to three different people who were baffled as to where that news came from. But it does have some guys at the center \u2013 the concept here is a movie that spins out of the chemistry between real-life friends Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt (pictured),\u201d explained the source. This new Ghostbusters is also supposed to be complementary to the Paul Feig film. It\u2019s Avengers-style, building out a massive new universe that will eventually collide.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hope is that after Feig\u2019s Ghostbusters is out and after Tatum\u2019s Ghostbusters is out the next film will see the two teams co-mingling, Avengers-style,\u201d they add. \u201cThis is planned out, and has been getting planned out for some time \u2013 it\u2019s not a sudden change of heart at Sony.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lastly, from what they\u2019re told, this new Ghostbusters universe will also have a prequel movie, which will take place before either of these two announced films<\/p>\n

So how big is this news? Sony Pictures is planning four new Ghostbusters films that will all intermingle in the same universe. the concept of tent pole is about to get a face lift.<\/p>\n
