According to insiders, the film is a priority for New Line\u00a0 following the success of \u201cShazam!\u201d in addition to the hype surrounding Johnson\u2019s first entry into the superhero realm.<\/p>\n

The film is directed by “Jungle Cruise\u201d director\u00a0Jaume Collet-Serra<\/a>\u00a0who has worked with Johnson on Jungle Cruise.<\/p>\n

Johnson who suggested Serra’s name was very impressed with how Collet-Serra handled himself on such a large production and was surprised how he handled the Scale of the film.<\/p>\n

Adam Sztykielwho wrote Rampage will write this film as well.\u00a0Collet-Sera has worked on tight budget actioners like non Stop and Unknown with Liam Neeson.<\/p>\n
