Remake of Arachnophobia in play with James Wan producing.

James Wan seems to be going the Guillermo Del toro road with his love for monsters. We recently reported that Wan was on board to produce Swamp things for DCDS he’s now added another series of monsters to his Rawster.

Amblin and James Wan’s Atomic Monster are the early stages of a remake of Arachnophobia, the 1990 Frank Marshall-directed horror-comedy film about a species of South American killer spider that crosses the U.S. border in a coffin.

It breeds and becomes a massive killer. Jeff Daniels and John Goodman starred in the original, in which a few brave warriors try to track down the queen before the hybrid breed can take hold and destroy the world.

Wan Stepped away from the fast and furious universe and moved to directing Dc’s Aquaman which is slated to release later this year. No news on who is directing Arachnophobia but Wan is kicked on the Project and will be producing with creative imputs.

Monsters and Humans have always had a fascinating war, we can’t wait for further development.

We at amdb.in wish the entire team all the very best.
