Seeing the recent Success of  the consumption of the Walking Dead Streaming Giants too want their Share of Zombie Pie and what better than to get a pre existing franchise.

Netflix is developing a scripted series based on the hit action Zombie franchise.  The Show is Said to get deeper into the Mythology of the film which is based of a video game.

The Action series will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and a new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus.

While the project is in early stages, the series is expected to incorporate all of Resident Evil’s signature elements, including all the banging action sequences.

Launched in 2002 the film has had over 6 films that have spun well over a billion dollars Milla Jovovich who stars in all 6 films that was directed by her husband Paul W. S. Anderson has exited the franchise.

However Constantin films, which had acquired the rights to the video game series has been having serious talks in rebooting the franchise in order to make it a trans media asset.

There is also a reboot film that they have worked on.  We had said it in early 2017 that Netflix was planning to expand it’s action slate quite vastly and this is just another example.
