The last trailer of Mission Impossible fall out proves that anything in the non super hero space and Tom cruise is still the biggest Star in the world . The film is exceptionally hot and is looking at a 50 million plus first weekend.

Add to Cruise’s legacy is another film of his which made him a Super Star. There were a lot of Speculation on wither the Sequel of Top Gun was a go, well now it’s officially announced.

Tom Cruise has started  shooting on Paramount’s long-anticipated “Top Gun” sequel. Cruise tweeted an image late Wednesday featuring his character, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, looking at a fighter jet.

The teaser image for “Top Gun: Maverick,” which Cruise also posted on his Instagram page, featured the legend one liner Feel the need, a reference to the original film’s legendary quote, “I feel the need – the need for speed.

Joseph Kosinski, who is directing the sequel gave a little bit on the plot Cruise’s character would now be a flight instructor and that the film would explore a world of drone technology, fifth-generation fighters and the end of the era of dog-fighting.

Eric Warren Singer, who wrote  “Only the Brave,” has written the screenplay alongside Peter Craig.

The film is produced by the legendary Action film producer Jerry Bruckheimer along with the king of remakes and reboots  David Ellison of Sky Dance.

Top Gun” grossed $179.8 million domestic and nearly $357 million worldwide on its release in the summer of 1986. It was directed by Tony Scott.

Top Gun: Maverick” is scheduled for release on July 12, 2019.
