Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets: French Action

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is a French science fiction action film written and directed by Luc Besson. It is based on a French comic series Valérian and Laureline, published in 1967, which has sold 10 million copies and has been translated into 21 languages.

The film version is set in the 28th century. A team of special operatives work together to maintain order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the minister of defense, the two main heroes, Dane DeHaan as Valerian and Cara Delevingne as Laureline, embark on a mission to Alpha, a growing city where diverse species gather to share knowledge and culture. When a dark force threatens the peaceful metropolis, Valerian and Laureline must race against time to identify the menace that also threatens the future of the universe.

It is scheduled to release later this month.
