Wu Assassin starring Iko Uwais to finally be viewed on Netflix.

Every since The Raid redemption Iko Uwais has been a fast rising star in both domestic as well as international markets. His latest upcoming film Mile 22 is generating a massive response with him playing the central character. All the buzz on him has grabbed the attention of the largest OTT players Netflix .

Netflix has given a 10-episode order to Wu Assassins, martial arts sci-fi crime drama series starring Iko Uwais.  Wu Assassins is set in San Francisco’s Chinatown, its a martial arts crime series with supernatural elements.

. It hails from Tony Krantz of Flame Ventures (24), John Wirth (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. 

Byron Mann (Altered Carbon) co-stars in the series, slated for an August 8 production start. Stephen Fung will direct the first two episodes. Iko Uwais also will serve as producer, lead martial arts and fight choreographer and stunt coordinator.

Iko has also been an integral part of setting up the choreography for the Raid Series which received a fantastic response . Seeing the success of Into the Badlands that airs on Netflix rival amazon’s prime videos its a smart move on netflix part.
