“Bruce Lee – The Fighter” had a very good weekend. The film released in 1000 screens in both the states and received an earth shattering response with average occupancy crossing 90% all over. The movie collected Rs 16.55 crore at the AP/T box office on the first day and became the biggest opener for Ram Charan’s film career.
The Srinu Vaitla-directed action movie was expected to at least maintain the pace on Saturday, with an anticipation of an average drop of 10% but word of the mouth had an adverse effect on its business.And thefilm witnessing an alarming 65% drop, “Bruce Lee – The Fighter” grossed Rs 5.60 crore at the AP/T box office on day 2.
The business of “Bruce Lee – The Fighter” has continued to be on the decline in most of the regions across both the states on Sunday as well. As per early estimates, the movie has grossed approximately Rs 6+ crore at the AP/T box office on the third day and its first weekend total gross total should stands at Rs 28.15 crore give or take 5%
Bruce Lee – The Fighter” has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 37 crore and its the theatricals rights of AP/T regions were sold for a fancy price of Rs 40.85 crore to various distributors. The movie is estimated to have earned about Rs 21 crore for the distributors share and with a consistent second week the film should be in the safe zone .

KANADA BOX OFFICE UPDATE
Darshan is the reining Superstar of the Kannada film industry along with Punnet raj kumar and shivraj kumar. However Darshan’s latest release Mr. Airavata could Solidify his place as the numero uno. As per Kannada trade sources Airavata has taken a smashing start at the boxoffice with a wooping 8.25 crs coming of 300 screens in Karnataka on dayoone and a 15 cr plus weeend which is fantastic for a small territory like karnataka. Even though the film is reweaving a mixed response a weekend such as this puts Airavata in a secure zone as the release cost is marginal for films besides bollywood in India,

TELUGU BOX OFFICE UPDATE
VIjay’s Puli released with much a hype and much of Fan fare touted to be the next baahubali of India, Puli failed to create a lower weekend total then the 1st day collections of Baahubali. While the film performed extraordinary in TamilNadu and took an almost 80% occupancy across all shows in the state, the rest of India was rather lackluster … A total of 24.50 crs opening weekend was not something the makers would have expected. Although it got a B category release in bollywood and Telugu film Industry Still it didn’t manage to make to make any real impact on the over all performance. The only thing that could save this 100 cr project is its vast overseas release( almost 450 screens) and a steady collection in tamilnadu monday onwards and a 2 week run in bollywood and Telugu.
