Now Commando 2 has been in the news for quite sometime. The first Commando did decently well at the box Office and the film industry though it had got a new action star. However poor management or poor choice of films pushed Mr . Jamval out of sight.
He played a few supporting characters in multi starrers but that’s it . However God Father Vipul Shah has decided to relaunch him in the sequel to Commando Directed by Comic actor Deven Bhojani 4 years later. This time Jamval is out to fight corruption and stop the flow of black money. Not a bad idea considering the sentiment of the country.
However the biggest problem lies in the execution of the idea. A trailer is supposed to give the best impression of a movie and A sequel should always be a step up in execution from it’s predecessor. Commando 2 fails miserably in that department.
The action is poorly executed with multiple cuts that breaks the flow of action. it looks like a bad case of mis communication between editor and action director. Franz Spilhaus who really only does second unit clearly shows that he has degraded from his last outing in bollywood force 2.
Vidyut Jamval clearly has a case of the rust, he’s looking slower than before has bulked up more and his action style seems very messy. One more thing, the fact of making him jump through tiny openings is very 14 years ago even Tony Jaa has stopped doing it.
With the expectations one had, the trailer is a Sad disappointment, let’s hope the film is better.
