With all the turmoil that Bond 25 is going through , it seems to have found no respite. Ever since Boyle quite the project the film has been in turmoil and now it seems to have found new problems as they have hired director Cary Fukunaga to take over the project.
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and the studio met numerous helmers after Danny Boyle dropped out over creative differences, however it was Fukunaga who was the chosen one for this project.
An Official Statement was released by the producers that they are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure.
Fukunaga directed the critically acclaimed Beasts of No Nation for Netflix, however apart from that he does not have any big film or commercial film to boast of to get a chance to direct a project of this scale.
This ends a long search for the 007 helmer who will direct Daniel Craig through the last film on his existing contract.
As amdb had reported Sam mendis was the front runner , however he lost to Fukunaga.
007 would lose its 2019 release date however it has announced that a worldwide release date of February 14, 2020 has been set.
