Legendary has attached Her Smell director Alex Ross Perry to write and direct a film adaptation of Rest Stop, based on King’s short story.
A cat and mouse thriller, the plot follows the twisted journey of two women after a fateful encounter at a highway rest stop.
The film is in the Space of a Grind House that Starred Kurt Russell and was produced by Tarintino. Though King is Famous for Horror Stories this one is one of his only Action thrillers.
Perry’s Her Smell, starring Elizabeth Moss, Cara Delevingne, and Dan Stevens, premiered at TIFF last year was well received well enough for him to get a chance to helm a potential franchise film that is Studio backed.
Legendary films has a fantastic line up of movies and one of the best Action slates to come out of in the coming year between all the Studios.
