Netflix and Amazon Studios really are putting their best foot forward in creating the theatrical experience at home. No budget is spared to help bring this vision to life. Netflix recently released Spectral it’s SIFI action thriller and now Amazon is soon to release the Wall.
Though both films are different in their Sub Genre’s their primary genre is the same. Military Combat action. The wall Stars WWE superstar John Cena who has done a few films in the past with lesser known film makers and hasn’t found the reception the Rock Dwayne Johnson has.
However his fate as an Actor is set to change as he has Mr and Mrs Smith Star director Dough Liman directing the Wall. Amazon has put together a fantastic team to tell the tale of 2 American Soldiers trapped Behind a thin wall with no Ammo and an Iraqi Sniper out to take them out.
The trailer is gritty , thought I don’t know if the story has much juice to carry on as a 1.30 min feature film. In terms of the action, not much can be said from the trailer but smart camera work along with great sound effects makes an interesting watch.
Lets wait for the second trailer to come out before we make our final decision.
