Steven Spielberg on board to direct Black Hawk for Warner

The success of Ready Player one goes to show that Steven Spielberg is Still a very relevant director in the massive scale tentpoles.

Now we have news that he is all set to produce and direct his first SuperHero film for Warners  Black Hawk Under his Amblin Banner.

Blackhawks are a small team of War War II ace pilots who are led by an enigmatic leader, Blackhawk. In the comic book, they operate out of a hidden base known as Blackhawk Island and battle Axis forces, but also foes such as King Condor and Killer Shark, and a line of femme fatales.

The screenplay for Blackhawk is being penned by David Koepp, who has collaborated with Spielberg as a screenwriter on his titles Jurassic Park. 

Speilberg was quoted saying It was wonderful working with the team at Warner Bros. to bring Ready Player One to the screen and that  They bring a blend of passion and professionalism to everything they do and have a tremendous history in this genre he was excited to reunite with them on Blackhawk.

Spielberg’s next two movies are the fifth installment of the Indiana Jonesfranchise and West Side Story.
