Director Michael Apted of 007 The World is Not Enough fame returns to direct this female-led spy thriller Unlocked. In this film, there’s been a potential chemical attack in London and a suspect is taken in for questioning. Noomi Rapace plays the CIA agent Alice, undercover intelligence in London, disguised as a social worker. She is tasked with questioning the suspect, but, little does she know, she’s been drawn there on false pretenses. Soon, Alice is on the run, hunted and at the same time racing against time to stop a bio-terror attack. John Malkovich and Michael Douglas play government agency heads with dubious motives. Orlando Bloom plays ex-marine war veteran, there to assist Alice, and Toni Collette is head of MI5. she’s looking tough holding a machine gun.
Unlocked is a blend of a number of action thrillers. It’s a nice blend though.
