Pedro Pascal is in talks with Sony to play the bad guy in Equalizer 2 starring Denzel Washington.
Expected to release in September 2018, the plot details are currently sketchy, except that Washington will play the role of Robert McCall, a former special ops agent who now helps those who can’t defend themselves. Details on Pascal’s character are currently unknown. Antoine Fuqua will direct this one too. The movie is Washington’s first sequel after the first film was a hit, grossing $100 million domestically. Based on the 1970s TV series, The Equalizer is about Robert McCall, a simple man who works at a store and keeps a quiet life. His secret past, however, becomes clear when he takes on a Russian syndicate to defend a young girl who was badly beaten by her pimps, who worked for the mob.
Pascal has been busy with Game of Thrones and Narcos, but a film such as this will be a big boost for him. Along with Season 3 of Narcos, Pascal will next appear in Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle.
