Currently it earned $18.5 million over the weekend, which is on the lowest end of realistic projections. As of today the film has raked in $24.5M. It only cost $30M to make so the expectations are not so high, and the potential is still there.
Atomic Blonde has Charlize Theron as MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton, who kicks more ass than any other character this year, including even Keanu Reeves’ John Wick. This makes sense because Atomic Blonde is directed by original John Wick co-director, David Leitch, who brings to life gripping impact fight scenes. Leitch is an experienced stunt coordinator and was at one point in time, Brad Pitt’s former stunt double.
