Warner Brothers Korea has just announced that the new film V.I.P. will hit theaters in August 2017. The crime action flick stars Jang Dong-gun, Kim Myung-min, Park Hee-soon and Lee Jong-suk. Shooting for the film ended in January after schedules at multiple locations including South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand.
The film features Lee’s character Kim Gwang-il, son of a high-ranking North Korean official, who is framed for a series of killings in South Korea and is hunted down by the National Intelligence Service and the US CIA. Kim Myung-min’s policeman is part of the special investigation team that is pursuing Kee’s character, while Jang’s NIS agent needs to get his hands on the fugitive before the police do as he holds the key to the agency’s relationship with the US. Park plays a North Korean Security agent, who is also on the search for Gwang-il to settle his own scores.
The film has also been written by Park Hoon-jung, and produced by Peppermint & Company. The supporting cast includes Tae In-ho, Oh Dae-dwan, Yoo Jae-myung and Peter Stormare. (Source: Kpopherald)
