Sony Pictures which is going through its own Major reboot with a new Head of the Studio taking over has decided to reboot one of it’s biggest franchises after Spider Man , The Men in Black. The people in the Studio don’t want to call it a reboot but a Spin of on the franchise Billion Dollar Franchise .
A May 17, 2019, release date has been set for an untitled film. The script is being Written by by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum the writers of Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight.
However the biggest news and definitely the most saddest is that Will Smith and Tommy Jones will not be back even for a Cameo. Holloway & Marcum have been told to script a contemporary sci-fi pic about the black-clad secret force that protects earth from the alien scum of the universe.
The Brief is to focus on new characters chasing villains that puts the picture on more of a global scale than the two previous films. One can expect a host of Global talents joining this band wagon Since the formula has proven successful in recent hits.
Steven Spielberg is set to Executive Produce the film . However no Director has been attached to the project as yet. The were rumors of a Mash up between 21 Jump Street and the Men in black and one would not be surprised to actually see it in this film.
Sony is in the process of Rebooting another Franchise of it’s too the very popular Charlies Angels that has Elizabeth Banks Directing and Kristina Stewart Starring . The Studio has announced a release date and the Charlies Angel reboot should hit theaters A week after Starwars on the 7th of June 2019.
