James Cameron who is clearly the god of technical evolution is back with ALITA Battle Angel. Cameron was working on the film for close to 10 years to bring yukito Kishiro’s manga Battle Angel to life.
Directed by Sin city Director Robert Rodriguez The story is set in the 26th century, and is about a female cyborg, Alita (played by Maze Runner: The Death Cure’s Rosa Salazar), who is rescued from a Junk Yard and repaired by Dr. Dyson Ido (Inglourious Basterds / Christopher Waltz).
She discovers that her adopted father secretly works as a bounty hunter, and joins him in his work, learning about her lost past in the process. However there are people who are aggressively lo0king for Alita who know her true identity. Who is ALITA and what do the people want makes for the rest of the tale.
The film is written by James Cameron along with Robert Rodriguez. ALITA is fully digitally created and the work is pretty phenomenal. WETA has done a great Job with bringing the semi life like feel. When Cameron Started off with Terminator there was CGI to boast of , yet he created a new bench mark.
ALITA will push the boundaries in terms of Visual effects . The movie is set to hit theaters in May 2018.
