Antoine Fuqua back in talks to direct the Scarface remake.

The Gritty well built ex boxer come director of Olympus has fallen and Training Day is back in talks to direct Scarface. Universal and Antoine Fuqua were in talks for Fuqua to direct however things didn’t fall in place at the time. Now it is Said that he is back as the front runner to direct the cult classic.

The new film borrows the immigrant rags-to-riches story but presents it in contemporary Los Angeles. The most recent script is by David Ayer, Jonathan Herman and Joel and Ethan Coen.

Diego Luna, who was supposed to play  the lead role, is now uncertain due to the changing production timeline, which has resulted in potential scheduling conflicts with his current commitments.

Fuqua had been the first director approched when this  picture first got off the ground, but exited when his schedule got crowded. David Ayer stepped in how ever with a prolonged delay He too had to exit out. Though Fuqua’s Magnificent Seven didn’t work at the Box office his success with OLympus has Fallen and The Equalizer made him the right choice to direct the classic.

Thought casting is still on the way , the news has sent the community into a tizzy.

We at amdb.in wish the entire team all the very best.
