One of the most prolific Action Film Directors in the World John Woo has made some of the most memorable Action films Like Hard Target and Mission Impossible. Woo Soon turned his attention back to Hong Kong Cinema where he made a  few films. However he is now back with a bang.

Universal Pictures are teaming on a new version of his 1989 Hong King crime classic The Killer. It is intended as a star vehicle for Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o who was recently seen in Black Panther. She is negotiating to play the assassin, a role originated by Chow Yun-fat.

Eran Creevy  the British Director/ Screen Writer who was directed James McAvoy’s Welcome to the Punch rewrote the script based on an original draft by Cloverfield Lane‘s Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken.

Nyong will play the assassin who puts her own life on the line to save a woman whom she accidentally blinded in her last hit.

The film will be produced by Mark Gordon and touchstone pictures. Touchstone aggressively works with Jerry Bruckheimer films and is known for stylized violent scenes. The re make will be a  blend espionage with extraordinary stunts to capture the feel of the original .

We at amdb.in wish the entire team all the very best.
