Chinese films are growing from strength to strength. With the Success of Major Action films like operation Mekong, Operation Red Sea and the Wolf Warrior films a new generation of Chinese Action cinema has landed .
The latest offering is Unbreakable Spirits directed by Xiao Feng . The film is set during 1943 in the time of world war 2 the story revolves around the Japanese bombing of Chongqing, which started in 1938 which caused the death of many Chinese civilians. The film is an homage to the 70th anniversary since the victory.
Produced by Jian-Xiang Shi and Buting Yang the film stars Bruce willis along with Liu Ye, Song Seung-heon and William Chan. Reportedly Mel Gibson was brought on to art direct.
The film is distributed by China film Group and is set to hit theaters on August 17th.
