Dead pool 2 has manged to cement it’s place as a block buster hit. It’s rare when a first part is so well appreciated that a sequel would “A” be appriciated in the same fashion and “B” making the kind of money it has.
The Ryan Reynolds Starring , David Lietch Directed and Rhett Reese Written entertainer has racked up rose to the top of the heap again this weekend with Fox’s Deadpool 2taking $41.6M in 79 markets and on 15,665 screens.
The international box office total to $344M and $598.6M worldwide. The global IMAX total is $25M. The film set a record for 20th Century with a $176.3M first frame and is currently only 3% behind its predecessor in market for market analysis.
Deadpool 2 has held the number 1 position for the 3rd consecutive week in 14 markets including Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Taiwan and Indonesia.
It’s tough to say that it could break the box office record of it’s predecessor which stands tall at a 783 million world wide , but DP 2 should finish it’s run in the 700 million range if it goes the way it’s going.
Infinity war on the other hand is unstoppable. Rated one of the best marvel movies to ever be made. Directed by the Russo brothers and Starring all the possible Marvel Characters barring Ant man the film is a mammoth at the box office.
Avengers: Infinity War dropped only 26% from last weekend internationally and has grossed $356.2M in China alone. The global cume to date of $1.965B means that $2B worldwide is very possible .
There were speculations it the film could beat the business of Avatar but that is not possible for even Avatar to beat it’s record in this digital age.
Both film are block busters .
