Though Justice League significantly Under performed at the Box Office it looks like all it’s supporting Characters could take the DCU forward and actually turn it into a major success. We saw it with Wonder Women who smashed box office world wide and the second that’s on course to do the same is the Upcoming Aquaman.
Director James Wan who directed the block buster Furious 7 is directing this Under water adventure. We were introduced to the God of Sea Arthur Curry AKA Aqua Man in the Justice League and though he did make his presence felt James Wan ‘s Aquaman may just push him into the elite level.
Following the events of Justice League, Arthur Curry, the reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, is caught in a battle between surface dwellers that threaten his oceans and his own people, who are ready to lash out and invade the surface along with that he must fight his half brother and beat him to take total control of all the seven sea’s.
Jason Mamoa returns as Arthur Curry and Amber Heard as Mera . The cast also includes Nichole Kidman who plays Curry’s Mother Queen Atlanna and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus.
From the word go the trailer grips you , it’s visually stunning and shows amazing scale . Also Wan moves away from the extremely dark world of Zack Snyder and adds some much needed color in this DC Universe adaptation.
Since it’s release the trailer has created over 3500 trend tracks with majority conversations coming from China and The United States. As of now the trailer has an Average of an A+ score and is looking to open in the high 80 million first frame domestic.
