Ayers Suicide Squad had commercial element missing from the first movie . The team’s MO for going on crazy missions like — assassinations, political sabotage, and that kind of unsavory stuff. However Ayer decided to make them take on a witch which is not what they were created for.
There were rumors that DC was planning the shut their MCU , however there is no fact in this since they have just hired Josh Whedon and James Gunn both MCU legends .
