The project has been in the news for the longest time, multiple directors came on board and went and so did many actor until Chris Pratt was locked for the film and things started falling in place . Now the leading lady is confirmed too.
Bollywood Super Star and international sensation Priyanka Chopra will star opposite Pratt in the adaptation of Cowboy Ninja Viking.
Game of Thrones and Westworld episodic director Michelle MacLaren is directing the feature from a script by Dan Mazeau and Ryan Engle. Maclaren who is a self confessed action enthusiast.
The series revolves around a counter-intelligence unit of Multiple Personality Disorder patients, formed by psychotherapist Dr. Sebastian Ghislain, who are transformed into agents known as Triplets (referring to the three different personalities inside their minds).
It is hinted that this is possible through experimental psychiatric conditioning and treatment, psychotropic drugs, and past life regression therapy. After the unit falls apart, its various members are turned into hired killers. Duncan, a Triplet who channels the skills of a Cowboy, Ninja, and Viking, is sent to find and stop the rogue Triplets is kicked with bringing this Character to life.
Chopra is Tapped to play Sara Nix, Dr. Ghislain’s assistant. Love interest of Duncan. It was revealed that Nix was part of a shadow program within the SPP program, with 3 personalities that can be turned on and off. The personalities have yet to be introduced, and she is currently unaware of them. She too is an Assassin.
The graphic novel by AJ Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo has got a cult following it was first published in october 2009 and has run over 10 volumes.
Entertainment 360, the production arm of Management 360, Mark Gordon via Entertainment One, Michael De Luca for Michael De Luca Productions, and Pratt will produce.
Cowboy Ninja Viking is all set to open bang in the middle of Summer 2019 and keeping with Pratt’s fame and Chopra’s international appeal the film is a sure shot winner.
