The race is on for both the Joker movies , however the Joaquin Phoenix films seems to be out beating the Jared leto film by leaps and bounds .
Not only have they announced a release date, they have also added another member to the cast of the film.
Glow star Marc Maron is in talks to join Joaquin Phoenix in Todd Phillips’ “Joker” origin pic. the cast has a powerful list already with Robert De nero and Frances Conroy on board already.
Maron would be portraying an agent on Robert De Niro’s talk show who plays a part in booking Phoenix’s character, and eventually causing him to go mad and become the Clown Prince of Crime in Gotham.
Phillips will co-write and direct the Warner Bros. movie, which is set to release on Oct. 4, 2019.
Phillips has created the extremely successful Hang over series so one can expect a lot from the Joker film.
