Renny Harlin has moved bag and Baggage to China .  The director of Die Hard and CLiff hanger soon faded away from Hollywood after a sting of flops and then set up base in China.

His latest film is legend of the sword.  is currently in post-production phase on Legend of the Ancient Sword, an adaptation of Gu Jian Qi Tan, a hit Chinese Video game.

Due to a fateful occurrence, Yue Wuyi leaves home. He meets revered master Xie Yi, who imparts to him the magical arts of Yan, and thus begins his journey of cultivation. Along the way he meets Wen Renyu, Xia Yize, Ah Ruan and company.

They discover the schemes and conspiracies of Shen Ye, the grand priest of Liu Yue City. The group of adventurers undergoes dangers to defeat Shen Ye, and prevent a disaster from befalling the world.

The Chinese film stars Wang Lee Hom (Little Big Soldier) as Yue.

The trailer has received 500 trend tracks with a Solid B+. Video game adaptations have generally under performed at the Box office and that goes for the middle Kingdom too.

Produced by ALi BABA pictures the film was scheduled to release in December 2017 however it should now hit theaters around November.
