STX’s mile 22 opened to a luke warm opening , the reason for that was not that people didn’t want to hit the theaters to see it, it was because 30% of the audience that was going to see it was made up of Asians and they decided to give race preference over action. Crazy rich asians opened the same day and stole mile 22’s audience however that won’t be the case with STX’s latest release Peppermint.
When Riley North’s husband and daughter are killed in a drive-by shooting on her daughter’s birthday by members of a cartel and the killers walk free owing to corrupt officials on the cartel’s payroll, she takes matters into her own hands and seeks vigilante justice against those who destroyed her life.
Starring Jeniffer Garner the film is directed by Pierre Morel , who has previously given Liam Neeson a new life when he directed him in taken.
All trailers have received a solid B score and the last clip has received 800 new trend tracks all averaging to a B.
Garner was seen last stand a stand alone Action Avatar way back in 2005 in Elektra she returns 13 years later more mature and more bad ass.
The film is on it’s way to a Solid 13.40 million domestic and 40 million plus life time.
Set to hit theaters on 7th September .
